Michael Curtis
Math/Science Instructor

Education:
Texas A&M University (B.S in Biomedical Engineering; B.S. in Genetics with a minor in Mathematics)
Teaching Experience:
While in college Michael mentored a group of honors engineering students. Mentoring included anything from planning their schedule to tutoring them in their classes to helping them make a resume for career fairs to just being there when they needed me. Post college Michael was a personal academic advisor for students preparing for the SAT/ACT/AP exams.
Educational Philosophy:
"Rather than just teaching students how to solve a problem, I prefer to increase their overall understanding of the problem and the subject. I don't want them to memorize a formula to solve a problem. I want them to have tools in their toolbox that can be used to unlock any question."
Interesting Fact:
Michael earned his second degree black belt in a mixed martial arts system.
