Steps Program (9th-11th Gr.)
Amazing students are not born overnight. These students plan ahead and make intentional choices throughough high school to fully explore their interests early on to discover what career paths, majors, and colleges might be best suited for them, then seek opportunities to advance themselves in those fields both in academic and extracurricular settings. This soul-searching process and the active pursuit of one's passions and interests are what separates outstanding college applicants from the rest. Our counselors are genuinely invested in your student's success and love helping high schoolers navigate through high school life while situating themselves in the most strategic orientation towards selective college admissions.
Students (and parents) meet with assigned Steps Counselor twice a month throughout the school year, generally from Sept to May. All meetings are live online unless a student requires an in-person meeting accomodations. Additionally, once-a-month group workshops provide opportunities for students to learn important skills such as resume writing, application essay writing, college search, starting a passion project, etc.
