Counseling Philosophy:
"Every student has their own unique narrative. The college admissions process gives students the opportunity to tell their story using their own voice, in a way that creates a cohesive picture of who they are not only as a student but also as a person. My aim is to support students so that they can articulate their story and represent themselves both authentically and compellingly."
Teaching Experience:
Shivani has worked as a summer camp instructor at NeuroCamp, a summer experience for Houston-area high school students that encourages interest in STEM fields and specifically neuroscience. She enjoys tutoring and mentorship in all forms.
Educational Philosophy:
"I believe that academic success is largely a matter of putting in effort and receiving the necessary support to reach one's full potential. Frustration and challenges are inevitable but should not be discouraging. Different learning styles work for different people, and it's important to find what works best for you and maintain a positive attitude during the process."

Shivani loves to dance and has been an Indian classical dancer for 13 years. She is currently a member of the Rice Rasikas competitive dance team.
