The University of Texas at Austin (B.S. in Computer Science)
Teaching Experience:
For most of high school, Daniel was taught in a competitive math study group in his hometown, where he found a passion for teaching, and learned how to break down difficult concepts. He also taught a wide range of students, including elementary students, working in a tutoring center. His most recent experience has been working as a teaching assistant in the Computer Science Department at UT Austin.
Educational Philosophy:
"Every single student is capable of grasping a certain topic with enough time and patience, from both the student and the instructor. The instructor’s job is not only to teach the particular topic, but to also imbue that patience and the skill of learning (studying, practice, motivation, etc.) into the student."
Interesting Fact:
Daniel’s favorite way to spend his free time is to see live jazz. He also loves reading non-fiction, especially about history.
