Teaching/Counseling Experience:

Jazmin is a former high school social studies teacher. She taught four years before returning to school to pursue her doctorate degree. Teaching and service are her passion. Currently in her doctoral program she has taught and been a Teaching Assistant to both undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, she supports them through advising as well as a mentor throughout their time in the program. She looks forward to helping you as well!

“Every student is unique and has different experiences. I believe students come to the classroom with their own knowledge and experiences. Those personal attributes should be highlighted in the classroom to create and foster a positive environment for all.”

 

Counseling Philosophy: 

"Working towards gaining admission to college is an exciting yet stressful time. But I believe helping students set realistic goals and deadlines will ensure that their college application experience is a positive one. I enjoy helping students see the greatness that is inside of them and it gives me so much joy helping them achieve their goals.”

Interesting Fact: 

Jazmin loves to travel, enjoys concerts, and wants to go skydiving…again.
