Texas A&M (Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, B.S.)

Teaching Experience & Philosophy:

During his undergraduate studies, Jonathan discovered his passion for teaching while working as an undergraduate TA for Organic Chemistry 1 and Biochemistry 2. In these roles, he collaborated closely with professors and graduate students, contributing to lesson planning and the creation of test questions, and refining his ability to break down complex scientific concepts for students. This experience not only deepened his understanding of the material but also inspired him to support others in their academic journeys.

"Everyone learns in their own unique way. Finding the strategy that works best for them is something that I as their teacher must always strive to help them learn. Even in the most difficult of classes a good teacher-student team can ensure that the student will be able to not only understand the coursework, but excel."

Counseling Experience & Philosophy:

With experience in both tutoring and strategizing for both undergraduate and medical school applications, Jonathan brings a fresh perspective on the challenges students face today. Admissions work has even been personally important to him recently, as he helped his younger brother navigate the transition from high school to college and college to post-grad himself. He understands the uncertainties of choosing the right school and adapting to new academic and social environments. His experiences have shaped his ability to guide students smoothly through this process, ensuring they find a college that best fits their goals and aspirations

"I believe that every student has the potential to overcome challenges and achieve their goals with the right mindset and approach. My philosophy centers on helping students break down large challenges into attainable steps, allowing them to grow in confidence and self-awareness along the way. I emphasize the importance of developing a solid “toolbox” of habits and skills—once a strong foundation is in place, students can use these tools to tackle any academic or personal challenge they set their minds to."
