The University of Texas at Austin (B.S. in Aerospace Engineering)

Teaching Experience:

As a member of the Student Engineers Educating Kids (SEEK) throughout college, Juan has ample experience guiding students through science experiments and encouraging their critical and creative thinking! His fascination with science was sparked in high school, where he often assisted and tutored other students in Physics. During his time as a Scoutmaster assistant Juan also further developed his teaching skills while teaching younger scouts foundational skills. 

Educational Philosophy:

"Learning is the fundamental key for success, so it is important that students enjoy it. That enjoyment is what establishes strong conceptual understandings that can take education outside of the classroom where students can truly apply themselves. These applications spark passion that can only come from a healthy, effective learning environment that goes beyond memorization to making memories with the subjects that they want to learn."

Interesting Fact:

Juan is a percussionist and drummer for a band! He is also studying to be an astronaut.
