Educational Philosophy:
"I believe in building from the basics up and concepts down. The best way to learn STEM concepts is to learn the basics and then progressively delving deeper into the details. Memorizing without understanding what you are learning is a recipe for disaster for upper level STEM classes. Furthermore, learning the general concepts behind the details allows students to make connections with what they've already learned making retention a lot easier. To reinforce and better understand new knowledge, active learning in the form of practice problems, flashcards, and concept maps is the best way to go.."
Interesting Fact:
Kevin is an avid Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, and New York Rangers fan.
