The Sparks Program is a middle school counseling program that will help your student gain the confidence and skills to pursue your academic and extracurricular goals.

During 6th grade, your student will be introduced to the never ending possibilities of fascinating careers they can pursue.

During 7th grade, your student will create their own goals to join fun clubs, volunteer, plan summer activities, and more!

During 8th grade, students solidify what their passions are, so your student and their counselor can tailor their activities and academics. Your student will be ahead of the curve and ready to conquer High School, already on their way to building a competitive and unique profile for selective college admissions ahead.
The Sparks Program occurs each year September through May for 6th-8th graders, but students can join any time!

Along each step of the way, counselors will discuss with your student on how to stay motivated towards their goals.

Once students communicates their interests with their counselors, counselors will then help them search for opportunities to create a unique profile. From volunteering, to clubs, to independent projects, each student will cultivate a distinctive profile.

Structure of the Sparks Program

Join
Anytime
Students can join at any point during 6th-8th grade.
Enriching
Homework
Students complete two assignments each month on academic/career options and The 5 Essential Early Skills™ exercises. As a result, students become more reflective individuals.
Monthly Meetings
Student's personal counselor meets with them and their parents one-on-one twice a month to discuss the student’s homework, strategize new activities, assess student progress, and answer any questions.
Monthly Academic Exploration
Students read an article each month that explores a different career field. Counselors lead interactive discussions with students, explaining how to pursue each career.
